Team Building

Often, teams are not as productive as they could be. While inefficient processes, practices, and policies contribute to a large portion of time wasted by individuals, other barriers to productivity lie in the fundamentals of human nature. Understanding what drives the behaviors of team members, how they think, and how they interact with others to accomplish goals is a critical success factor in leading, developing, and getting the most from your teams. LSA PartnersSM provides you with several options for developing the building blocks of cohesive, goal-focused teams:

  • Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®)
The MBTI® instrument has been used for over 50 years around the world in understanding individual differences and uncovering new ways to work and interact with others. More than 2 million assessments are administered to individuals annually —including employees of many Fortune 500 companies. Jung’s premise was that everyone has innate preferences comprising his or her personality type that determine what situations energize them, how they process data, make decisions, and interact with the outside world. While diversity in teams can be a useful strength, contributing to greater depth and breadth of team competence, there will be natural interpersonal conflict and communication barriers within the team due to team member’s innate preferences that drive behaviors. As qualified administrators of the MBTI®, we can facilitate an interactive workshop that provides valuable insights for decreasing conflict and increasing teamwork and productivity in the workplace.

  • The Five Dysfunctions of a Team®
Based on the best-selling leadership book The Five Dysfunctions of a Team by Patrick Lencioni, this is an interactive two-day workshop utilizing both classroom and experiential training techniques. Teamwork will be defined as a set of team behaviors, which will be explored through team members assessing their strengths and areas for improvement. Leading the team to overcome each of the five dysfunctions with specific research-based best practices, we will equip the team members with the knowledge and guidance to change behaviors over time to create a high performing team.

  • Custom Team Building Experience
In addition to the above mentioned offerings, LSA PartnersSM can create and deliver a fun and meaningful interactive team building experience based on your team’s needs and objectives. Utilizing both classroom and experiential training techniques, we will combine enjoyment with team-dynamic discoveries applicable in the workplace to improve team performance. You can add an element of fun to your on-site meeting or add business relevancy to a day off-site.

Team Building Experiences

Talent Management for the 21st Century:
Recruiting and Hiring the Best Talent for Your Organization
Talent Management for the 21st Century:
Recruiting and Hiring the Best Talent for Your Organization

A large utilities company was interested in a unique experience for their senior leadership team to be conducted at a popular destination theme park. Because the members of the senior team were geographically dispersed and met only once per year, it was critical that this team experience deliver maximum value in limited time. The experience had to blend the element of fun with the ability to build relationships and learn relevant and applicable leadership concepts.

The LSA PartnersSM team created a fast-paced team hunt incorporating leadership competencies, elements of the company’s culture, and interactive exercises which leveraged the strengths and abilities of the various team members. The result was a memorable event in which the company’s leadership expectations were reinforced, relationships were forged and strengthened, and superior value achieved from their limited time together.
